Launch of Second Mobile Science Lab
Shriram Foundation has collaborated with Adithya Sagara Foundation, Hyderabad, to launch a second Mobile Science Lab Programme targeted at a cluster of Government High Schools in Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh in July 2017.
The first Mobile Science Lab commenced operations in September 2016 covering 25 low cost private schools in Krishna District adopted by Shriram Foundation under its Mission 100 program. In 2017, this program has been extended to 18 Municipal and Zilla Parishad schools in Krishna District.
The programme entails that a Mobile Science Lab, which is a science laboratory inside a van, will visit each school on a monthly basis to conduct hands on science-related educational activities with the students from classes 6 to 10. This programme was developed and is being conducted for the purpose of giving students the opportunity to gain practical exposure to and experience with scientific experiments, as well as to increase their knowledge and interest in science.
Science teachers in the schools and the students eagerly look forward to the MSL visit and have expressed their happiness in being a part of the MSL program of Shriram Foundation.
